Required To-Dos

  • For newly admitted students, confirm your spot in the program by April 12th! Also review introductory information on the blog from the Office of Global Services by April 15th:
    • Renew/obtain your passport! Your passport MUST be valid through at least March 2016 (3 months BEYOND the last day of your stay in the Czech Republic). Upload a copy to OGS.
    • Complete the Student Information Form (even if waiting on a renewed passport).
    • If you are not a US citizen OR if you are a US citizen who has spent 6+ consecutive months in another country in the last 3 years, you will need Criminal History Reports.  Contact OGS (ogs.outbound@nyu.edu) for more information and get started on this now!
    • Students in NY: Make plans to attend a MANDATORY NYU Prague visa workshop.  Dates will be in March/April (the only exception to attending a mandatory workshop are EU/EEA/Swiss passport holders).   An online webinar will be held for visiting students.
    • International Students:  Meet with an International Student Advisor at OGS to discuss maintaining your F-1 or J-1 status while studying away.
    • April 8th: NYU Prague visa workshop.
  • Week of April 11-14th  – Register for Courses
  • Prior to attending Pre-Departure Orientation – Complete online Study Away Module
  • April 16th – Pre-Departure Orientation!

Recommended To-Dos

  • TBD – Apply to be a Site Ambassador for the SSC
  • April 15th, 10am-2pm Attend NYU’s Passport Drive if you need to apply or renew your U.S. passport (registration for an appointment required)
  • TBD – Rising juniors & seniors participate in Wasserman’s Study Away Resume Books
  • ASAP (Applications reviewed on a rolling basis) – Apply to be a Wasserman Global Peer
  • Sign up to get involved with TEDxNYU while studying away
