Visa

Throughout the months leading up to your departure, The Office of Global Services (OGS) is your primary resource for anything related to visas.  Should you have visa and immigration questions, OGS is your best source for up to date information.

For many students, this may be the first time you are applying for a visa.  Know that this is a requirement based on the local government of the country you will be studying in.  OGS will provide guidance on navigating the visa process, but ultimately it is your responsibility to secure any necessary visa.

Aaron Reynolds (aaron.reynolds@nyu.edu), is an Outbound Immigration Advisor withOGS. He will be your primary contact for immigration related questions as a student going to NYU Prague. At any point, if you have specific uncertainties, feel free to reach out to him directly.

To get a sense of the visa process, check by using GlobalChek Plus:

GlobalChek Plus: a self-service immigration application which will help users find specific and up-to-date visa and entry information for upcoming study away travel, extended business travel, or professional appointment/assignment travel.

Note: you must sign in using your NYU NET-ID email. For information on how to use GlobalChek Plus, please click here to read our GlobalChekPlus FAQs.
